You have reached the site of Sean Deckert! I was born in Culver City, raised in Illinois, educated in Arizona and live + work in Los Angeles. The name of my company, Calnicean, is an old family name from Romanian heritage. Pronounced Cal-nih-sayon,
I have been working ft as a Digital Tech for the last 9 years and truly love the experiences it has brought to me. I spent many years producing fine art editions for myself and other artists, so I would have to say my eye for color is my strong suit, as well as digital film curve emulation.
I’m willing to go wherever the job takes me. IE a crane lift over an airplane, the top of a mountain or simply a studio with great music and a fun group of people. I’ve made a career out of wanting to be the best and always excited to help create something beautiful. I also always bring a stereo.
As a Digital Tech its my role to provide a seamless integration to a shoot and to maintain set standards. I try to provide as much service as possible for each photographer I work with, either as white glove catering or just as a support team member. I show up with extensive camera knowledge, pro grade gear no compromises, problem solving techniques that work, and the ability to provide a range of peripheral services such as wireless remote monitoring, DIT video services, and special project integration. I have worked with a wide range of photographers and clients which is why I can adapt to any scenario.

I have extensive knowledge of color theory, digital file conversion and the Adobe Creative Suite. I’ve been using Adobe products for well over a decade and could classify myself as PSL (Photoshop as a Second Language).
Many of the photographers I tech for also utilize my post-production capabilities because I am close to the project and the photographer’s vision.

Providing the latest and fastest equipment available is part of making sure I’m able to deliver what people expect to see faster than they expect to see it. By investing in high grade Apple, EIZO and tethering technology I’m able to set a standard that will leave clients, photographers and producers feeling like it should have been that way all along.
Producers looking to create a comfortable and slightly removed space for the client to sit back and relax have that option with all of my packages. I can setup an additional large monitor in their area, wether it be next to the shoot in studio or next to a creek down a bank of sand. I also have wireless iPad options for locations and situations where a generator is not feasible.
